As for the violist (violist? viola-ist? I don't know, I play violin!) who asked about remembering notes in treble clef, all that I can remember from elementary school is that the lines on the staff, going from bottom to top, are E G B D F - Every Good Boy Does Fine, and the spaces are FACE. (for the record, I've also heard Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge) Hope it helped! :)

Treble clef note rhymes: Staff lines = EGBDF (Every Good Boy Does Fine). Spaces = FACE (I think that's pretty self-explanatory... :D)
Instant follow, this is absolutely great! My favorite humorous music blog! And I play violin so this is by far the most relate-able :) I've been thinking about going to college for violin performance and everything I've seen so far has just reminded me why that may be a bad idea. XD
ah, thanks so much! I’m so glad you like the blog.
